Junior Members Rules
Junior Grades definitely rule… but Junior Grades also have rules!...
Climbing the belt ladder isn’t just about punches and kicks - It’s about showing respect, listening well, and
remembering you’re part of our karate family. - With great belts, comes great responsibilities! - Even our mini-dragons and future black belts have to stick to
the dojo standards.
| Be Respectful | Always treat classmates, instructors, and the dojo kindly. No teasing, no name-calling - we’re teammates, not enemies. |
|---|---|
| Listen Up | When the sensei talks, ears on, mouths off. If you’re not sure, ask - but don’t chat about Pokémon in the middle of kata. |
| Safety First | No wild ninja moves on your friends. Sparring only with permission and proper pads. Save the flying dropkicks for your dreams. |
| Bow, Bow, Bow | Bow when you come in, bow when you leave, bow to start and bow to finish. It’s not just bending over - it’s showing respect |
| Tidy Dojo = Happy Dojo | Line up shoes like soldiers, keep the mats clean, and no water bottles rolling around like footballs. |
| Be on Time | Arrive early, tie your belt, and warm up. “Sorry, I was on Fortnite” is not a good excuse. |
| Bring the Energy | Positive attitude = stronger karate. Put effort in, smile when it’s hard, and cheer on your mates. |
| Gi Power | Wear your gi (suit) clean and neat. A scruffy gi = scruffy karate. Belts tied tight - no fashion statements. |
| Quiet Time | No chatting when Sensei (Teacher) is teaching. Save the jokes for after class (and yes, Sensei has heard them all before). |
| Karate Everywhere | Show karate manners outside the dojo too - in school, at home, with friends. Karate is about kindness, not showing off. |
| No Playground Punch-Ups | Karate is NOT for kicking off in the playground. Use your moves for training, not for trouble. |
| Extra Rules (because Sensei said so): | No chewing gum on the mats (unless you want a sticky gi). Look after your belt - it shows your journey, not just your waistline. Respect the equipment - pads, bags, and weapons are dojo tools, not toys. |
| Remember - You represent our Dojo. Be the Karate Kid everyone looks up to. |
